Music: Grace Jones, Amerie, Jazzy, Anthony Antoine
AT 60 years old Grace Jones is still a force to be reckoned with. Loldarian.com affiliate Black Gay Gossip reports on Jones' recent breathtaking performance at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
From Black Gay Gossip:
Jones entrance alone set the stage for what was in store as she entered completely covered by a silver sheet-like fabric under which she performed her entire first song. Jones went on to perform hits including This is Life, Love Is The Drug, Pull Up to the Bumper, and Slave To the Rhythm as well as material from her most recent album, Hurricane.

After a long hiatus R&B singer Amerie is coming back with the September release of her third studio album Love & War due in stores September 8th. The first leaked single Why R U failed to gain any traction but her latest single 'Heard Em All' produced by Eric Hudson is aiming to be a summer club banger. Get into it here via WhatstheT.
I introduced new artist Jazzy on the blog a while back but I must admit even I slept on her crazy vocal stylings and amazing production quality. Her single Makeup is giving me exactly what I need. If you're not feeling it at first listen, do yourself a favor and play the track twice. I don't understand why people aren't talking about her more. Are you feeling her as much as I am?

There's nothing better than a talented openly gay artist (IMO) and Atlanta independent artist Anthony Antoine falls into that category. Antoine was profiled on the blog earlier this year, but his cover and video for Janet Jackson's "If" is so hot I had to mention him again. Antoine directs, films, and stars in this video. He multi-tasks boys! Get into the video and a couple of my favorite screen captures from the video below.
