With all of the safe-sex messages aimed at sexually active individuals we're all human and someone is bound to slip up or decide against using protection. But did you know that there's a possible way to avoid becoming infected with HIV if you think you may have been exposed?

Post Exposure Prophylaxis or PEP as it is commonly referred to is a series of pills, usually 3 to 4 that are taken every day for four weeks after the initial exposure to the virus.
